MAPMG New is Hiring a Director of Talent Acquisition Near Rockville, MD

Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Director of Talent Acquisition to join our Human Resources department. This position is a full-time opportunity based out of our regional office located in Rockville, Maryland with a hybrid work model.

Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group is comprised of more than 1,700 Permanente physicians and nearly 300 staff professionals who come together to make a positive impact on the health and lives of more than 800,000 members in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Director of Talent Acquisition will oversees a team of recruiting professionals in designing and implementing strategies to attract top talent in support of our mission and values. You will serve as a subject matter expert on inclusive recruiting best practices and is responsible for the development of the overall strategy of recruitment for the medical group, including identifying and implementing efficient and effective recruitment processes that provide an excellent experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.

You can expect to:

  • Develop and executes the talent acquisition strategy for physician, non-physician provider, and staff recruitment for the medical group to ensure that business needs are met. Manages, leverages, and challenges existing recruiting strategies, methods, and systems with a focus on building a strong talent pipeline
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters and support staff to ensure a thorough understanding of the businesses they support and leverage best practices to locate, engage, and attract prospective candidates to achieve results and the best candidate experiences
  • Develops and implement a well-rounded recruitment marketing plan for organization-wide talent needs that includes print, digital, and outreach channels (resident/fellow/university relations and events), including partnering with internal marketing colleagues to execute brand-appropriate messaging; Manages recruitment marketing budget, activities, and vendor relationships
  • Track, analyze, and communicate talent acquisition metrics, leveraging data and analysis to solve complex business and talent problems
  • Partner with senior leadership and hiring managers, sets and executes the talent acquisition strategy for physician, non-physician provider, and staff recruitment for the medical group to ensure that business needs are met
  • Provide oversight to talent acquisition programs to include locum’s tenens recruitment, forgivable loan offerings, student loan repayment, referral recognition, physician recruiting ambassadors, EID initiatives, and internship program

What is required:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master's Degree in related field is highly preferred
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive recruitment experience; Physician recruitment experience is preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory & leadership responsibility is required
  • Prior experience implementing and building recruiting systems such as ATS or CRMs
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • The ability to commute to Rockville, Maryland on an as needed basis
  • Candidates must either currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia area
