Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Combat Systems Mid-Level Engineer to join our team in Washington DC.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Provides technical support to large Navy Acquisition programs
- Supports the PEO IWS X Business Operations Manager by providing technical support to the development and execution of Navy contracts and related acquisition documents and processes
- Supports DoD/DON Policies and Procedures related to systems engineering processes and acquisition and modernization of Navy combat systems .
- Participates in program management reviews and prepare and coordinate inputs for status reports, briefings and information inquiries .
Basic Qualifications: Must meet one of the followings:
- An associate's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with ten (10) years of U.S. Navy Combat Systems experience.
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with five (5) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities)
- A master's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with ten (2) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities).
Security Clearance Requirements: Physical Requirements: - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
