Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization
    • Analyze existing processes within the Legal Services teams to identify areas for improvement, utilizing agile methodologies to optimize workflows.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues.
    • Develop process enhancement strategies. Implement best practices and standardized processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
    • Partner with leadership to identify and capture process improvement opportunities.
    • Drive a problem-solving rather than problem-identifying approach.
    • Execute continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
    • Secure employee commitment for proactive change management.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to embed agile values and principles into the organizational culture, fostering an environment of creativity and adaptability.
    • Act as a change agent, identifying organizational impediments to successful agile adoption and working with teams to overcome them.
    • Regularly monitor the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.
    • Solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Training, Development, & Advancement
    • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement continuous improvement training programs for all pods/departments.
    • Mockup and test template, ruleset, and reporting changes.
    • Submit and manage projects in Wrike through all stages of procedure implementation.
    • Teach, lead, and coach cross-functional teams on agility and waste reduction.
    • Utilize methodologies from agile, lean, and six sigma to optimize workflows.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Develop and drive a sustained Agile culture that makes a significant impact on efficiency and success of our legal operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Responsible for leading dynamics of cross-functional process improvement projects and business-wide improvement initiatives.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
    • Collaborate with leadership to enhance productivity and employee satisfaction.
    • Work with teams to implement effective metrics that track progress and performance, providing visibility and transparency across the organization.
    • Provide a psychologically safe environment for all team members to share ideas and feedback.
    • Provide supportive feedback and build off other teammates' skills.
    • Ensure team members follow MDK guidelines and expectations related to providing legal services to clients and performing work in the uniform method as provided across pods.
    • Embody, demonstrate, and help create an inclusive environment that represents our company’s values: respect, creativity, engagement, collaboration, and advancement.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational experience.
  • Proven knowledge and abilities in the principles of change management and process improvement.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Hybrid position – you must be located near one of our offices. We have offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Orlando. Requires traveling to the Columbus office 2-3 times per month.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • A growth mindset with a genuine desire to continually learn and guide others to their highest potential. Skilled in coaching and facilitation.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. Ability to create professional communications while adhering to our company identity standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse personality types.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfort in challenging leadership on the status quo and providing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and/or participating in projects and implementing solutions that re-engineer or streamline processes, work practices, or change strategies within a function while sustaining results.

Schedule & Benefits:

Our team works Monday through Friday, general business hours. We offer a hybrid schedule, which allows our employees the flexibility to work from home and in the office.
