Description:

• Develop and optimize the sanitation program using appropriate continuous movement techniques.
• Lead, plan, and monitor activities of the sanitation team.
• Work closely with production to ensure cleaning efficiency and first pass yield for cleaning
• Maintain, update, and continuously improve the master sanitation list.
• Manage the chemical control program.
• Participation with food safety team.
• Assess sanitation shift specific needs
• Hands on work with the production team to implement and train on cleaning procedures.
• Analyze, maintain, and improve sanitation performance.
• Develop strategies to reduce low value activities and ensure continuous improvement.
• Identify areas of improvement within the organization's process, system, and procedures.
• 3rd party audit participation.
• Work with engineering to develop safe cleaning practices on new equipment.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience
• Strong people management, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to use and learn new systems, programs, and tools.
• 3 years of continuous improvement experience.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Desired Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMPs.
• PCQI Certified
• Sanitation program experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Food Science/Safety, engineering, or related field.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Lift and carry 25-50 lbs.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, use arms, wrists, hands. Climb steps and reach above shoulders.

Pay: $150,000.00 per year
