As a Project Manager , you will be the project manager for a variety of construction, engineering, and other projects related to public infrastructure, such as transportation, potable water, wastewater, storm water, reclaimed water, and related civil engineering projects. Manage activities of project engineers, contractors, consultants, and other staff. Provide direction during the planning, design, land acquisition, and construction phases of assigned projects to assure a quality project is produced in a timely and cost-effective manner. Depending on area of assignment, position has considerable contact with County officials, contractors, engineers, and other internal and external contacts, requiring excellent public relations skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills
  • Associates degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience in the planning, design, and/ or construction of public and/or private infrastructure/building/site development projects.
  • Valid driver license required, with valid Florida driver license required within 30 days of hire.
Desired Skills
  • Prior budget management experience desired.
A comparable combination of education, training, and work experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position may be substituted for the minimum qualifications listed above.
