Qualifications

Job Purpose

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for all accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of the accounting systems. The Assistant Controller will support the informational and procedural needs of the Controller and Senior Operational and Executive Management.

Essential Functions
1. Preparation of budgets and financial reports and overseeing their evaluation.
2. Presenting the various accounting reports to the top management and making suitable observations and recommendations.
3. Managing operational data and maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
4. Managing monthly financial close process.
5. Supervising, assessing, and developing accounting staff.
6. Reviewing financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness of the data.
7. Developing system controls for ensuring data integrity and SOX compliance.
8. Developing proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
9. Liaising with accounting software, system vendors, consultants, and sale points.
10. Conducting account reconciliations and analysis.
11. Assisting in the companys monthly and yearly closing.
12. Other duties assigned by supervisor as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:
Bachelors degree in accounting (graduate degree preferred)

Experience:
7-10 years Accounting Experience (Public company experience preferred)
CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft operating system and suite of tools preferred
Experience with Dynamics GP preferable, but not required
