ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance area.
  • Appropriate use of powered and unpowered hand tools.
  • Perform repairs to furniture, equipment, building envelopes and building interiors.
  • Interior and exterior painting.
  • Acquire materials and assess tools required to complete a job.
  • Notify Facility Maintenance Manager of maintenance issues as they arise including but not limited to the need for tradesmen.
  • Make recommendations for maintenance and improvements for all Salem Five locations.
  • Supervise road support staff, and also the activities of all outside contractors who are working in our branch locations.
  • Provide guidance and project direction to assigned maintenance workers.
  • Collect and deliver Company required materials (for example shredding, courier bags and tents).
  • Be part of a call tree that responds to afterhours calls for both security and fire related issues from a 24 hour monitoring Co.
  • Help facilitate the completion of tasks generated by the Facility’s maintenance request ticket system.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the Facilities Maintenance Manager about progress on assigned projects including assigned staff performance levels.
  • Proficient with mobile smart phones and downloading applications. This includes the basics of texting and email.
  • Proficient utilizing the Internet (mobile and desktop) to search and locate information.
  • Embrace new and emerging technologies to support operations through flexibility and the ability to learn and adapt to change.
  • Collect, catalog, and update information about all locations utilizing Window’s office programs.
  • Inspect Bank locations and document on Inspection and Safety Reports.
  • Secure buildings as needed.
  • Requires work to be periodically performed outside of normal business hours.
  • Demonstrates compliance with banking business laws and regulations as defined in Bank policies and procedures pertinent to the position.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Has direct supervision for 1 staff member, i.e., the General Maintenance Worker III.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma plus a minimum of five years of related facilities field experience. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is preferred. A Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word applications is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

The employee must be able to properly handle and use a 10’ stepladder, 30’ extension ladder and have the ability to climb both up and down from heights of up to 40 feet. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
