- Position Summary
- MaineHealth is seeking a new Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (aCMIO). Reporting to the Chief Medical Information Officer, the aCMIO will:

· Assist the CMIO tp develop, design, implement, improveme, and use clinical information systems and technologies at MaineHealth through strategic leadership with our clinical community and collaboration with Information Technology operational units.
· Serve as a champion and liaison to the medical professionals at MaineHealth and will serve as a key point of contact to the medical staff and operational leadership.
· Leverage their medical expertise and understanding of clinical information systems and technologies to improve services, daily operations, data analytics, quality reporting and population health initiatives across the continuum of care.
· Champion provider requirements for technology solutions and supports providers in the optimal use of information systems. Works closely with the provider and nursing informatics teams to ensure an aligned approach to technical design, education, and adoption.

- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: MD or DO required
- License/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Informatics required. Epic builder or power user strongly encouraged
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of hospital or outpatient-based provider experience to include at least 3 years in a leadership or management position involving clinical information systems.
- Thorough knowledge of Epic EHR and other clinical systems in healthcare settings. Deep understanding of existing clinical workflows within the various clinical settings.
- Highly respected within their clinical field. Trustworthy, approachable and ability to collaborate successfully with a broad range of staff and professionals.
- Willingness to drive change management and address resistance.
- Advanced communication skills and the proven ability to lead in a complex information environment.
- Thorough knowledge of various EHRs and other clinical systems in healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with informatics concepts relating to workflow, use of data, Clinical Decision Support, health sciences research, interoperability, terminology and documentation.
