Job Description: The Role: Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) Cardio/ Pulmonary Med Surg at the Alfond Center for Health. The Opportunity: MaineGeneral Health is seeking CNA to join the 1 West Cardio/ Pulmonary Med Surg unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This is a magnificent opportunity to join a team-oriented group of professionals full-time 36 hour per week from 7a – 7p position. The Work: Provide great patient care. Answer patient calls and determining how best to help them. Provide physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising. Turn and repositioning bedridden patients. Ensure patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences. Obtain a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities. Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff. Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine. You Have: Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) and is an active and in good standing on the State of Maine CNA registry. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Must have the ability to work independently, effectively manage time and good problem-solving skills.
