Maine Veterans' Homes is Hiring a Manager of Clinical Services Near Augusta, ME

Job Description:

The Manager of Clinical Services will work with the Director of Clinical Services and Quality Assurance and the clinical team to implement and support clinical applications and operations in the MVH homes. This position will work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, support staff and other department members. The Manager of Clinical Services will assess operations and needs, train, optimize, problem solve and support clinical information technology.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Observes, understands and analyzes clinical workflow and configures information systems to support workflow
  • Customizes clinical templates to fit MVH’s workflow, clinician needs and regulatory requirements
  • Works with Director of Clinical Services & Quality Assurance to identify strategies to attain organizational priorities
  • Works with end users to maximize utilization of automated information systems to achieve organizational objectives
  • Conducts audits of user access and assists with clinical audits, as required and assigned
  • Creates training & technical documentation for clinical software systems and collaborates with other training resources
  • Monitors and audits system configuration and clinical documentation to identify end user training needs and system improvements
  • Acts as project coordinator to lead & direct implementation of software and clinical systems
  • Manages data validation, monitoring and maintenance activities of clinical software and interfaces
  • Oversees clinical software system updates, including testing of new or upgraded clinical packages
  • Serves as a support and backup to the Director of Clinical Services and Quality Improvement, as needed

Required Experience:

  • Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Maine
  • Five or more years of experience in healthcare clinical workflow and related clinical practices
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving ability
