MFP is seeking a full time Medical Assistant to work in our Center for Reproductive Health (CRH) and family planning. Candidate must be willing to frequently travel in central and western Maine. 

The Medical Assistant assists family planning providers in the delivery of administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner as required by the State of Maine. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor are required.

Qualifications Needed for Position:

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:

• Less than 12 months working in social/health services.
• Ability to be organized, manage systems, computer skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA and CLIA guidelines
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
• Commitment to family planning mission

Education and Knowledge Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:

• Certification from a Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.

Other Requirements Needed for Position:

•  A valid driver’s license.

Starting pay: $20.81 hr.
