Be Well My Friend, LLC (BWMF) has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant. BWMF is a full-service family practice and an integrated health center with multiple providers working in conjunction with our doctors. Our practice currently consists of three full-time osteopathic family physicians (one providing OB care), a family nurse practitioner, a holistic nutritionist, a general counselor and drug addiction counselors that provide individual and group counseling sessions. Our skilled office staff and providers work as an integrated care team to provide our patients with a full spectrum of quality, compassionate care.
As a Medical Assistant, you will function as a critical member of the medical office team and work toward the goals of Be Well My Friend’s integrative health center, while providing a high level of service to patients.
The Medical Assistant provides clinical and/or clerical support for the delivery of high quality patient care in the physician office practice setting under the direct supervision of the Provider, Clinical Office Manager and/or Practice Manager in accordance with practice policies and procedures. You will ensure an efficient patient flow, obtain vitals and administer care to patients as directed by physicians. You will be responsible for maintaining patient medical records, keeping patient information confidential and respecting patient's right to privacy.
Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred (willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire). Associates Degree preferred. A minimum of 6 months prior experience in a primary care physician’s office strongly preferred. BLS or CPR certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire). Must be computer literate, excellent typing and transcription skills, have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a high level of customer service and interpersonal skills and be consistent with BWMF's mission.
