We are a busy ophthalmology practice seeking a medical receptionist to join our front desk team. Phone and ophthalmology experience are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Duties:

• Welcomes patients, obtain insurance information, collect copayment, and other pertinent information before appointment.

• Answers and routes telephone calls, as necessary, to appropriate individuals.

• Accurately takes and delivers messages.

• Document and send messages in as needed

• Performs various routine clerical tasks such as, but not limited to, filing, faxing, and scanning.

• Maintains a clean and orderly reception area.

• Retrieves, sorts, and delivers mail
• Schedules and reschedules appointments per department’s procedures and protocols.
• Sanitizing of front areas of clinic
• Conduct office closing procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year in a medical office preferred.
• Experience: Ophthalmology experience a plus

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
