Mahoning County Board Of Developmental Disabilitie is Hiring an Intervention specialist Near Youngstown, OH

MAHONING COUNTY BOARD OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES

JOB OPENING

POSITION : Intervention Specialist - Leonard Kirtz School

DUTIES (include but not limited to the following) :

Assess levels and needs of students and gather evaluative data, develop and implement IEP on the basis of evaluation and

assessment.

  • Provide instruction in approved or adopted curriculum areas.
  • Develop and implement approved behavioral plans.
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans consistent with

students' Individual Educational Plans and the Ohio Extended

Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

include but not limited to the following) :

  • Hold appropriate certificate / license as required by the Ohio Department of Education; Intervention Specialist, preferably in the area of moderate to intensive.
  • Hold and maintain current certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and abuser registry clearances.
  • Any other training as required by the Ohio DODD or county board policy.

SALARY : As in negotiated agreement

HOURS : 35 hour week, (Normally 8 : 30am - 3 : 30pm, M-F during school year)

This position involves working with children and / or young adults who have developmental disabilities.

In addition to the requirements listed above, the following

qualifications shall be considered in evaluating an applicant for

possible employment for this position : an applicant's varied work-experience; one's training and / or education; and, one's

adaptability to work with children and / or adults with developmental disabilities.
