Human Resources Coordinator

Magnolia Health Systems is a statewide health care company with assisted living, pediatric and skilled nursing facilities. Magnolia Health Systems management office is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional support to our facilities, employees, and residents. 

For this role, Magnolia Health Systems is looking for a conceptual thinker who possesses outstanding organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate must be reliable, adept at accurately following instructions, and capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Professional Qualifications:

  1. High school graduate or its equivalent.
  2. 1-2 years of Human Resources experience is desired.
  3. Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with personnel, vendors, and support agencies as well as possess the ability to remain calm under stress.
  4. Must display good emotional health and be capable of extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must possess good computer skills.
  2. Must have good time management and organizational skills.
  3. Must have strong ethics and reliability.
  4. Must possess the ability to demonstrate good conflict management and decision-making skills, along with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration.
  5. Must be self-motivated, possess good problem-solving skills and be ready and willing to learn and adapt to changes.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Maintains personnel records for facilities as assigned.
  2. Responsible for communicating employee concerns to appropriate management.
  3. Assist in implementing and enforcing all company policies and procedures.
  4. Assist in developing employee orientation, onboarding, and training.
  5. Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process within different recruitment platforms.
  6. Assist in administering and maintaining compensation, benefits, and company records.
  7. Reconcile payroll deductions for assigned insurances monthly.
  8. Assist to ensure the company’s compliance with state and federal regulations.
  9. Assists with the maintenance of group health insurance records.
  10. Prepares invoices and submits authorized bills for payment as assigned.
  11. Reports salary complaints to appropriate management and notifies appropriate personnel of action taken.
  12. Assists in the maintenance of FMLA records.
  13. Provides and maintains records in relation to unemployment claims.
  14. All other job duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
