MAG Areospace is Hiring an Acquisition Specialist Near Washington, DC

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is hiring for a newly awarded Acquisition Specialist position which will provide technical support to the Navy Cyber Warfare Developmental Group (NCWDG). As an Acquisitions Specialist, you focus on studying the feasibility and implications of acquisitions. The Specialist will negotiate, procure, and process administrative actions necessary to acquire contracted resources.

Perform analyses of logistics support requirements and resource shortfalls for assigned mission areas and potential mission requirements. Develop forecasting, coordinating, and implementation logistics contract support guidance, including budgets and manpower requirements.

Place of performance for this position is in Suitland, MD

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare briefings and strategy recommendations for the Milestone Decision Authority (MDA).
  • Prepare Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) documentation including, but not limited to, those listed in DoD 5000.02.
  • Attend, document, and summarize meetings.
  • Provide training and develop evaluation board analysis reports for proposal evaluations.
  • Develop program and project documentation, risk management documentation, acquisition plans, and program schedules.
  • Coordinate quarterly Program Management Review for the PMO to include briefing template development, scheduling, briefing book preparation, and meeting coordination.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to systems acquisition, including logistics, research and development, configuration management or systems analysis or design
  • Experience working on, or managing, programs including at least 5 years in science and technology or research, development, test and evaluation programs
  • Experience briefing and developing briefs for Flag Officers and Senior Executives
  • Experience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) to include the development of acquisition strategies, development of budget and financial management documentation, and monitoring project performance and contract deliverables
  • Proficient managing research and development projects
  • Proficient developing program budget and program execution plans to track against financial benchmarks
  • Proficient with DoD contracting procedures and guidance including DFARS and FAR
  • DAU Certification desired

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Allowable substitution: 10 years of above experience

Clearance:

  • TOP SECRET/SCI CURRENT/ACTIVE
  • Be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence polygraph examination in the future
  • Possess an investigation that is current within 6 years.
  • Personnel who are enrolled in CE will also be eligible

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
