Responsible for oversight of the purchasing, linens, supply and equipment function within the facilities management system
Works in collaboration with system leadership in addition to the patient care, case management and entire facilities management systems
Supervises the Managers of Linen and Purchasing
Implements process improvements in order to have the right supplies and equipment to the right place timely and at the most efficient cost
Contributes to the financial and quality outcomes as it relates to the distribution system and to Madonna as a whole. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops, analyzes, coordinates, and modifies the supply and equipment functions' policies and procedures.
Reports key indicator data for the supply and equipment functions and/or the distribution of supply or equipment, analyzes the data, plans and follows up to insure process improvements are implemented and are effective.
Incorporates corporate goals and objectives into daily operations.
Develops and assists supervisor with budget preparation as it relates to Purchasing, Rental Equipment, Central Supply, Biomedical, R.T. Equipment, and linen.
Maintains and updates the computerized inventory and equipment tracking system.
Communicates and negotiates with vendors for equipment/ supply needs to ensure quality service delivery.
Supervises linen, PSTs and purchasing functions. Communicates with members of the clinical service systems to insure supply and equipment needs are being met.
Adheres to all state, federal, CARF, The Joint Commission and CDC regulations in purchasing and practices.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in management or related field required. Two years' experience in inventory management in a healthcare institution required. Additional work experience in lieu of education may be considered. Knowledge of medical supplies, equipment and basic computer and calculator skills required.
