Certified Substitute Teacher - Holds an active teaching certification from WI DPI (not a sub-teacher certification). Teaches and supervises students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class. Their duties include managing classroom behavior, quickly interpreting and following lesson plans and creating reports to inform the students' permanent teacher of their success Essential Duties: The following duties are normal for this position. Provide instruction to students, including:
use of recommended materials
Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
effective instructional practices and teaching strategies
various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations
Instructing students individually and in groups, equitably
Provide classroom management
Establishing clear objectives and expectation during class time
Establishing rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible
Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
Engage students in meaningful ways to help inform classroom culture and success in learning

Minimum Requirements
Hold an active State of Wisconsin Teaching License (not a substitute teacher license)
Copy of your official transcripts showing a bachelor degree or higher in education
Desired Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Hmong and/or Spanish
