Our practice is a small adult primary care office with significantly less patients than a traditional medical office. We strive to deliver the best care to our patients. Our patients pay an annual fee for the doctor’s care, which allows them to keep their practice size small and enables the delivery of excellent healthcare to our patients!

Summary: The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care that supports the practice. The Medical Assistant will oversee the pre-physical work up for every patient, maintaining patient flow, entry of patient information in to the computer system, and. This position includes both medical and office duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Rooming, checking in patients, and obtaining vitals
• Collecting and documenting patient information
• Assisting physicians with various procedures when necessary
• Obtaining lab results, testing reports, and hospital notes
• Order tracking maintenance – Following up with documentation received/sent
• Scheduling patient appointments for physicals, office visits, and lab work
• Providing preparation instructions to patients for blood draws
• EMR documentation and completion of procedures, immunizations, visits, phone calls, referrals, etc.
• Prior authorizations for medications and imaging
• Transferring of Medical Records
• Following up with patients with results and corresponding condition
• Pre-physical work up for every patient to include EKG, ABs, pulmonary function, Body Composition, Gait Speed test, Grip test, depression screenings, and various panels of bloodwork
• Keep the office clean and tidy – prepare for opening and closing of clinics
• Inform potential new patients about the MDVIP Wellness Program and the benefits of belonging to the Practice.
