Position Summary
The Practice Manager is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations for their respective sites, and they facilitate efficient and high-quality patient care, access, and satisfaction. The Practice Manager role is vital for the functioning of each practice, as they oversee communication between teams, clinicians, and patients. The Practice Manager will be expected to communicate efficiently and respectfully and remain a resource for all the employees under their supervision. This role requires a thorough understanding of both corporate and practice-specific workflows so that operations remain smooth, questions don’t go unanswered and patient care remains top-tier.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensures each practice has proper supplies and resources necessary
Manages all practice staff and any practice related necessities
Ensures patient satisfaction
Ensures practice is correctly staffed
Communicates closely with providers, patient liaisons, and interventional teams as well as any other stakeholders in day-to-day practice operations
Oversees assigned practice EMR (electronic medical records) and intake systems and flags any trends or errors for appropriate teams
Always ensures office coverage including breaks, lunch, and PTO
Delegates tasks to appropriate team members
Ensures compliance with all internal and external regulations at their location
Supervises training and development for their staff
Conducts yearly evaluations with HR
Assists HR in implementing performance improvement plans and policy changes as necessary
Works with HR department to monitor and approve employee time off
Assists in revising job descriptions for their staff if necessary
Communicates as needed with upper management and performs additional tasks as management sees fit
Conducts new employee orientation
Clearing and responding to all emails and voicemails by EOD
Will ensure that clerical staff (tech, reception, patient liaison, etc.) are cross trained as deemed necessary
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s Degree
Medical office management experience required
Prior EMR experience
