Hospitality Specialist position for an A Property in Memorial Park / Rice Military Area

Essential Functions:

• Communicates with Lead Maintenance and/or Property Manager to prioritize units in need of housekeeping.
• Daily cleaning of all common areas prior to prospect/resident viewing including interior of office, clubroom, fitness area, pool area, laundry facilities and models.
• Detail cleaning of vacant units.
• Must complete work within timeframe given by Lead Maintenance and/or Property Manager to ensure timely move in.
• Adheres to safety procedures and protocols established by governmental agencies such as OSHA.
• Performs any additional duties or tasks as assigned by Maintenance, Assistant Manager, Property Manager or the Regional Portfolio Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 2 years of groundskeeping in multifamily/apartment
• Some cleaning experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a timely and organized manner

Physical Requirements:

• Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to be on feet.
• Have constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to perform the following physical activities:

o Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel

o Climb Stairs

o Push or Pull

o Reach Above Shoulders

o Climb Ladders

o Grasp/Grip/Turning

o Finger Dexterity

• Lifting/Carrying (cleaning supplies, vacuum, stepstool, etc.):

o 50-75 pounds

o 25-50 pounds

o 1-25 pounds

• Required to handle cleaning chemicals; certain cleaning chemicals may require pre-mixing.

Vision Requirements:

• Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to observe areas needing attention/ correction. Read cautionary labels, respond to written instructions from staff.
• Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to see things clearly beyond arm’s reach Observe and assist in general maintenance; observe problems throughout the community.

Hearing Requirements:

• Not essential. Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to receive instructions from community management. Written instructions should be acceptable.

Speaking Requirements:

• Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to communicate with staff and clients.

Working Environment:

• Indoors (66% to 100% of the time). Occasionally outdoors (1% to 33% of the time).
• Occasional exposure to (1% to 33% of the time) to cleaning chemicals, paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, etc. Example: apartments during/after make-ready.
• Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to work in awkward and confining positions.
