What we need:

MacStadium is seeking a talented Information Security Engineer that will play a crucial role on our Security and Compliance Team. This role will be responsible for managing core security programs to ensure that our cloud and infrastructure solutions are safe and secure. He/She/They will have an opportunity to manage a wide range of industry leading threat and vulnerability management tools in order to meet our ISO and SOC2 compliance standards. This position reports to the VP and CISO.

What you will be doing:

• Champion the organization’s defense-in-depth security projects
• Innovate new methods to solve existing security production issues
• Identify technical solutions that meet security requirements in networking, threat & vulnerability management, identity & access management, and monitoring
• Evaluate, test and recommend security solutions using industry standard analysis criteria
• Monitor critical systems for irregular behavior
• Supervise changes in software, hardware, and user needs
• Determine security project deliverables, reporting methods and performance indicators of success
• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions
• Lead incident response activities
• Lead breach investigation efforts
• Set standards for anti-virus deployment and threat response
• Manage the threat and vulnerability management program, identify risk tolerances, and recommend treatment plans
• Perform penetration tests, identify exposure and risks, and recommend appropriate security solutions.
• Research, analyze, design, test, and implement new or vendor-supplied security software solutions.
• Recommend security enhancements to management
• Maintain effective partnerships with internal teams to ensure security by design is implemented on all service platforms
• Conduct periodic security audit reviews and risk assessments to ensure adherence to all organizational GRC initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in the security field through training, reading appropriate literature, attending related seminars/conferences and hosting product demonstrations.

What Skills and Experience you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Rapid7 InsightVM and InsightIDR experience specifically
• Extensive knowledge with network security, network protocols, routers, switches and Cisco products Meraki firewall administration
• Experience with reviewing raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, IDS, system logs) strongly desired
• Familiarity with Azure AD, DUO multi-factor authentication
• Jira workflow management experience a plus
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
• Self-motivated, driven and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to successfully work on multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to excel in an ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment

Our current U.S. office locations are in Atlanta, GA, Las Vegas, NV, and Sunnyvale, CA. While it would be ideal to have someone close in proximity to one of our offices for this role, we are also considering candidates that would be fully remote.

For Colorado applicants, the compensation range is $85,000 to $110,000.
