We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to Remotely join one of our Federal Programs in Washington, DC.
The Project Manager will support a PeopleTools upgrade to 8.61 in addition to normal production support activities. Other projects the role may support include adding new reports and enhancements to PeopleSoft Financials, supporting the physical inventory and other asset related processes, enhancing the single sign-on functionality, upgrading to Oracle 21c and integrating with other cloud-based applications.
The focus of the Project Manager will be to assist with project management activities such as providing guidance on the necessary upgrade tasks; creating, executing, and revising project work plans as appropriate; monitoring progress and status; and providing status reports and communication as requested. The Project Manager will assist the PeopleSoft support staff and work directly with other consultants from multiple firms working on the upgrade and other PeopleSoft related projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Actively monitor and track progress toward objectives and project scope.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Identify tasks and resources needed, assign individual responsibilities, and manage resources on assigned tasks.
- Facilitate team and user meetings effectively.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Review status and documentation prepared by team and provide status reports and communication, and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Support the upgrade of the House's PeopleSoft application PeopleTools 8.56 version to PeopleTools 8.61.
- Work closely with House PeopleSoft staff to manage the upgrade effort.
- Plan and execute the upgrade so that the other concurrent related projects are integrated as needed, and work directly with other consultants from multiple firms working on the upgrade and other PeopleSoft related projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Federal Client Requires US Citizenship
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other related field.
- 10 years of experience working with PeopleSoft Financials and a strong understanding of PeopleTools, especially in an upgrade environment.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials version 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.61.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience upgrading PeopleSoft applications, and
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience managing PeopleSoft projects.
- General understanding of application programming, database, and system design.
- Knowledge and experience managing projects focused on application implementations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience managing resources, creating plans, monitoring status, providing status reports, reviewing work products, and reviewing documentation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience meeting project objectives.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Desired Qualifications
- Working with PeopleSoft and Cloud application integration with Pentaho Middleware.
- Working with PeopleSoft General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, Asset Management, Commitment Control, and Purchasing related modules.
