The Chamber is a non-profit membership organization that is a leading voice for businesses and influencing issues in Macomb County. We have a smaller office setting with a fast pace. We are seeking a great candidate match to join our work team/family.
Position Overview
The Director of Member Engagement will be responsible for creation and execution of all Chamber and Foundation related events and programs. This passionate professional will help develop, implement and manage all communication to promote, and elevate programs and branding. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Execution of all Chamber and Foundation events. Actively seeks to increase value-added programs and events to generate a higher return on investment for chamber
- Manage event budgets
- Relationship building with membership
- Development of Sponsorships
- Coordinate photographs and videography of events and programs
- Create digital content for social media, newsletter, and email marketing
- Consult with and develop annual plans with members when possible.
- Committee participation in Marketing and Programs Committee, as well as all event related committees.
- Advises Staff on roles and responsibilities at major events.
- Coordinates LEADS groups
- Assist with the Ambassadors
- Coordinates technology at all events
- Writes and edits scripts for events
- Writes and distributes news releases to proper media coverage. Tracks coverage.
- General office duties, as required. Assist the CEO as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master’s in business, Event Planning or similar fields.
Experience in chamber of commerce/association management and not profit work preferred.
Superior customer service skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
2-4 years work experience
Experience with MS Office applications
High level attention to detail and accuracy
Strong time management and organizational skills
