Mackin Engineers & Consultants is Hiring a Marketing Coordinator Near Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description:


Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will manage various marketing projects and processes. This role requires tight interaction with all departments, clients, and project development, to ensure that our proposals, website, collateral, graphics, and other communications accurately reflect our brand. It is imperative to be able to recognize the ROI of marketing and to apply strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with all stages (writing, layout, design/graphics, interaction with subconsultants) of proposals, statements and letters of interest, etc.
  • Maintain company background information and employee resumes, including qualifications and experience
  • Research and develop new leads and opportunities through various sites daily
  • Track leads efficiently in a database or other system
  • Prepares visual presentations by designing, studying, and gathering art and copy layouts
  • Conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for new and existing services
  • Develop and maintain reports to aid in analyzing the ROI on all things done within Marketing
  • Aid in assessing effectiveness of current marketing strategies, suggesting improvements/alternatives
  • Plan and/or attend meetings, trade shows, etc., coordinating with managers to set up schedules and assignments, mailing lists, and anything else that may be helpful
  • Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data
  • Research competitor services by identifying and evaluating similarities and differences, market share, pricing, and advertising, maintaining discoveries in a database
  • Monitor marketing industry news and submit reports on emerging trends to management, as needed
  • Prepare reports, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text
  • Seek and provide information to help departments determine their position in the marketplace
  • Compile lists describing service offerings and develop a system to make marketing materials easily accessible
  • Work with departments and clients to develop case studies, testimonials, and references
  • Measure and assess client satisfaction
  • Produce quarterly newsletter and distribute to our email marketing list
  • Write and maintain boilerplate and dynamic content for new proposals, website, and social media updates
  • Oversee and maintain company branding and logo; bind several types of booklets, proposals, etc.
  • Assist with day to day marketing tasks and coordinate marketing projects and activities as requested
  • Create and maintain all marketing graphics/collateral in an easily accessible, organized fashion
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Prepare, format, and edit several types of documentation as needed
  • Maintain Mackin's DOT evaluations on a monthly basis
  • Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, client relations, and/or inter-departmental relations
  • Contribute to the overall success of Mackin by supporting internal departments, providing exemplary service to clients, and striving to meet on-going initiatives to grow and develop the company
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and Outlook
  • Adobe Suite – primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
  • Social Media – Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.
  • Digital Photography
  • PennDOT’s engineering and construction management system (ECMS)
  • Deltek Ajera
  • Computers and Electronics
Job Requirements:


Education and/or Experience

Years of Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the marketing field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education: BS or BA Degree required

Degree or Formal Training: Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline (graphic design/layout experience preferred)

License, Certificate, or Registration: None required
