Marketing and Communication Coordinator – School of Business Salary: Commensuratewith experience The MarketingCommunications Coordinator (MCC) is a member of the MARCOM Group in the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business and reports to theProgram Director for Marketing and Communications (PDMC). The School MARCOM Group worksclosely with the Dean’s Office, Senior Associate Dean’s Office, SchoolAdmissions staff as well as staff external to the School of Business (e.g., inAdvancement, Enrollment Management, Division of Marketing and Communications,and others). The MCC will assist in the successful implementation of marketingplans; communication and engagement strategies; and various School events(e.g., for curricular/co-curricular competitions, donor engagement and studentrecruiting). DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Helps write/editSchool publications, provide timely/accurate website updates Creates materialsfor School social media channels and to execute social media strategies. Researches,creates, writes, edits, and constantly improves copy for website and Schoolpublications. Creates graphicsfor School digital monitors and manage their presentation. Helps develop andexecute School events and some program-level events (act as on-site lead). Develops eventcommunications (e.g., invitations, flyers, multimedia), monitors eventregistrations. Completes otherduties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Works with the PDMC to create and implement School marketing and communicationplans.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications,journalism, or a related field of study.
At least one(1) year of experience in marketing, communications, and event management.
Strongwriting, editing, project management, interpersonal and communications skills.
Impeccablegrammar, strong attention to detail and an eye for typographical errors.
Ability tomulti-task effectively, take direction and offer ideas for consideration.
Ability towork collaboratively and respectfully with a diverse range of constituencies.
Strongcustomer service orientation, particularly in stressful settings such as majorevents.
Ability towork independently and prioritize tasks to meet quality and deadlineexpectations.
Embraces thevalues of the School and its Spiritan mission as part of Duquesne University.
Strong skillswith Microsoft Office, particular Word and PowerPoint.
Ability towork some weekend and evening hours as required; possess a valid driver’slicense.
Preferred qualifications:
Two (2) ormore years of marketing communications experience in a business or professionalschool.
Ability todevelop, write, design and produce principal print and digital publications.
Significantproject management experience with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A trackrecord of planning and executing successful events.
Experienceproducing and submitting content, photos and videos for social media platforms.
Experiencewith CMS, photography editing, Adobe InDesign, and online design platforms.
An alumna oralumnus of Duquesne University.
Additionaltraining and/or a MS in marketing communications or a related field of study.
