Shop Service Technician

Summary: Our Shop Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment in-shop. This person will specialize in custom solutions for critical and complex applications, service, and repair of construction equipment and associated accessories. The opening is for our Cape Girardeau, MO location.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment failures in-house and handle repairs of equipment as directed by his or her supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on equipment in the field.
• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of and capability in reading and understanding schematics.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, actively practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
• Prepare various reports as directed to maintain accurate records on equipment and preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience servicing and maintenance of construction equipment.
