The head coach will be with MacGregor Downs Swim Team, the MacDolphins. The position will be held from May 2023-late July 2023 with the chance to return the following season. The head coach is responsible for making sure that weekly plans are in place for practices and delegate responsibilities to assistant coaches. Should coaches need corrections, the head coach is welcome to be the first to speak with them, before deferring them to the youth director. The head coach is expected to exemplify professionalism and safety while representing MacGregor Downs Country Club. The head coach is also expected to communicate in a timely, professional, and kind manner to parents and members of the club. This position reports to the Youth Director.

• Oversee assistant coaches.
• Oversee safety and organization of all Swim Team practices. 
• Create Heat Sheets using Swimmingly Mondays nights.
• Specializes in technique assistance for each stroke.
• Oversees professionalism and expectations of assistant coaches.
• Keep record of swimmer evaluations and progression throughout the season.
• Oversees swimmer curriculum in good sportsmanship, character building, team spirit, and perseverance, as well as good practice behavior.
• Opportunity to instruct private swim lessons for additional pay.

• High School Diploma or Equivalence.
• Age 18 or older.
• Previous swim coach experience.
• Familiarity and working knowledge of swim technique and strokes.
• CPR/First Aid Certified.
• Attend coach's clinic in May.
• Previous head coaching experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
