Caton Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is actively seeking a temporary receptionist for our skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn NY

Caton Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is located directly across from the Parade Grounds at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY. The location of our facility takes advantage of being in the heart of Brooklyn and is close to public transportation.

The Receptionist is the first contact for many candidates, guests and family members who contact our facility. The receptionist represents the company in a positive manner while greeting visitors, answering telephones and directing calls.

Some receptionist responsibilities include:

Answer incoming and direct incoming calls.

Greet and direct visitors and family members.

Maintain current patient listing to be able to direct visitors and phone calls.

Maintain order and establish a presence on front point area

Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicle or people on the property

Monitor visitor’s access and maintain security awareness

Requirements:

Must be kind to all residents, visitors and staff 

Must possess strong group communication skills

Proven history of working well in stressful situations

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Professional personal presentation

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

Familiarity with report writing

Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Follow all emergency protocols

Receptionist Education and/or Experience:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Nursing Home Experience Preferred
