Company DescriptionM StaffingJob Description90% Technical Sales - Drilling - Drill PipeReporting directly to the Managing Director, the Market Development Manager - Drilling is responsible for developing (our company Oil and Gas) drilling market segment within the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will have single point accountability to identify product opportunities, commercialize new products, conduct market analysis, and position the company within the Oil and Gas industry. The Market Development Manager – Drilling will:Be accountable for meeting the sales targets within the drilling market segment Demonstrate a strategic selling approach by identifying key decision makers for various product areas, while successfully positioning and communicating a value proposition. Develop and enhance portfolio of accounts through relationship management of Key contacts within customers’ organizationResponsibilitiesBe accountable for the product portfolio within the drilling segment including developing market requirements, positioning of products, and product contracts.Create and sponsor new product initiatives by empowering application engineers, corporate research and manufacturing plant engineers to execute product development and testing effortsCommercialize new products through go-to-market plans InternalQualificationsMinimum Years of Experience 8 Relocation Eligible YesPreferred Qualifications Demonstrated success in business development and sales to the oil & gas industry.Demonstrated ability in identifying and supporting the development and delivery of new products.Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment requiring intimate relationship developmentExperience developing and implementing a pricing strategyExperience in negotiating contract terms, i.e., T&Cs, NDAs, Development Agreements, Supply Agreements, etc.Commercial competence: Experience leading several aspects of market analysis and strong sales portfolio. He/she will have experience implementing product launch efforts specifically in support of broader growth initiatives and in partnership with key customers.Strategic orientation: Experience in developing market and sales strategies and plans that incorporate competitive issues, trends in industry and external factors. His/her planning experience will cover a broad range of markets and address the full range of organizational implications. He/she will understand how to integrate market and competitive trends and other issues into a coherent product vision and link this vision into a series of initiatives and priorities that are compelling and logical.Leadership: Ability to collaborate, influence customers and coworkers toward a new vision.Collaboration and influencing: Demonstrated ability to work as part of a global business within a matrix organization. He/she will put broad business objectives before personal objectives and will be a team player with an open management style. The candidate will have a personal style that is viewed as open minded and collaborative and is not abrasive or arrogant.
