Position Summary

In this role, you will support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and manage Information Technology (IT) systems; infrastructure, and processes related to these systems. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client server, storage, network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Supporting Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, by remaining actively engaged through successful resolution, and by communicating detailed status and analysis to agency management and internal customers.
  • Configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installations, loads operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity and by configuring network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Perform updates and patching to ensuring compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards.
  • Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's) to Windows based operating systems.
  • Creating technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and as builds for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Implementing and maintain enterprise Windows Active Directory Architectures, performing daily monitoring and reviewing system logs.
  • Deploying, configuring and maintaining virtual hypervisors to include VMware and Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV); Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms to include Citrix Xen Desktop; 3rd party applications, highly available SQL database engines, storage platforms similar to Dell EqualLogic and Dell Powervault.

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Education/Experience: Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a Related Technical Discipline.
  • 0-2 Years with a Bachelor's Degree or
  • 4-6 Years with an Associate's Degree or
  • 6-8 Years with a High School Diploma

Required Progressive Experience:

  • Analyzing system data to prevent problems and performing triage on and resolving system problems.
  • Implementing new workstations and system extensions.
  • An understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation, networking, VLANS and routing.
  • Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that may include occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Requires a Security Certification.
  • Requires the ability to travel up to 10% in the geographical area.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Certification\Experience in CCure 9000 Access Control System.
  • CASP certification, or CISSP certification.
  • Certification\Experience in AMAG Access Control System.
  • Certification\Experience in BOSCH BVMS.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Query writing and management experience.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining Microsoft Server (2012, 2016).
  • Installation and configuration of operating system software (i.e. Win10/ Win Server 2016) experience.
  • Programming/administrating Access Control Systems.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, and testing security electronics equipment.
