Lyndon Town School, serving children in PreK- grade 8, announces the hiringof two Literacy Intervention teachers. Candidates must be dynamic, high quality literacy leadersinterested in joining a high energy PLC school. Responsibilities include both delivering explicitliteracy intervention to small groups of students and working collaboratively with classroomteachers to strengthen their literacy program. This literacy intervention teachers partners withclassroom teachers in delivering a balanced literacy approach utilizing short term, flexiblegroupings and ongoing formative assessment to monitor students progress in reading andwriting. The individual will work closely with school and SU level literacy coaches, and otherschool literacy specialists.Experience with balanced literacy strategies, workshop model, F&P, reading and writing units ofstudy, Common Core, PLC collaboration, positive behavior interventions, formative assessments,LLI and other intervention programs are a priority. We seek creative, passionate teachers with asense of humor and genuine love for working with young people while supporting teachers toimprove literacy instruction.
