Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter (Manufacturing, On-Site)

(Compensation range starts at $60,000 )

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal, innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents, to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

Position:

The Human Resources Generalist and Recruiter position is a key member of the HR Team and vital to the department’s success. This is a true generalist role with exposure to nearly all facets of the human resources functionality, sometimes all in the same day! Flexibility and adaptability are a must.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on a variety of HR topics including talent development, retention, performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation and conflict resolution
  • Sources, recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; leads the hourly recruitment process (direct hire and temporary labor)
  • Initiates screenings (background, drug, employment, E-Verify and I-9)
  • Attends and participates in hiring events
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct new hire and temporary labor orientation
  • Processing of FMLA, terminations, unemployment claims, and employment verifications
  • Assist in HR Reporting activities by updating regular and ad-hoc reports for the HR Scorecard
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition and engagement activities
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Senior HR Manager
  • Prepare new-employee files and maintain accurate employee files related to personal and work status affairs
  • Other duties within competence as requested

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field desired; or combination of education and relevant experience considered
  • 2 years working in a relevant capacity required, HR and/or recruiting role within a manufacturing environment desired
  • PHR Certification desired
  • Experience with ADP beneficial
