Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the SPD Manager, cleans, sterilizes, assembles, packages, labels and distributes equipment and supplies utilized in patient care procedures. Assumes staff training and orientation responsibilities; serves as a resource to Technician I and serves as a team leader in leader’s absence, as assigned.
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Completion and passing of registered central service technician course and IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification exam. Annual recertification with 12 CEU’s. Current certification must be maintained.
Experience:A minimum of 12 weeks of related experience is required.
Education:Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
