Luminator Technology Group is Hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Intern Near Plano, TX

Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time Manufacturing Engineering Intern role to assist our growing and dynamic Engineering Team.The successful Manufacturing Engineering Intern candidate will assist the Operations team with the Lean Manufacturing implementation activities and support the daily operation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.   • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality and repair to solve product issues and production problems.
  • Support continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with the Manufacturing/NPI Engineers to support launch of products after they have been transferred to the Plano, TX Facility.
  • Develop/review detailed engineering documents and work instructions.
  • Create slide presentations in support of short projects.
  • Support materials group with inventory adjustments/shipping activities.
  • Update and correct BOMs (Bill of Materials) and routers.
  • Assist in daily reports to calculate backlogs, capacity analysis and invoicing using MRPs systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited four year College or University and reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the duration of the internship program; Ideally be enrolled in a 4-year Degree program aligned with critical talent areas (i.e. Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Junior, Senior, or Graduate level students
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
ADDITIONAL PRIORITIES:
  • Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is required, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
