Lumina Vision Partners is Hiring a Practice Manager Near Chandler, AZ

Job Description

The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring that the practice provides excellent customer service, hiring and training staff, managing budgets and payments, and organizing records. This role engages with the home office team and the doctors and staff at the practice to uphold our culture and values.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to be a hands-on manager (player/coach). Can work through administrative deliverables as well as train and empower staff regarding key processes and procedures.
  • Maintain, track and drive practice revenue and growth metrics.
  • Gain proficiency in new technology and change management efforts and assist with implementing new policies and procedures while addressing employee concerns.
  • Execute end of day cash handling procedures, close-out, and reporting functions.
  • Manage practice expenditures to the budget, ensuring that all purchases are invoiced correctly, credits are received, and discounts are given. Collect and compare invoices to monthly statements.
  • Manage staff schedules, and time and attendance reporting for payroll processing.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
  • Enforce appropriate employee behavior, adherence to applicable regulations and overall safety measures.
  • Maintain inventory of frames and parts for repairs. Establish relationships with vendors to select inventory based on each location’s demographics. Ensure inventory reconciliations are completed.
  • Assist patients in shopping for frames, selecting the best lenses based off individual prescriptions, dispenses eyeglasses to patients. Render services to patients who have eyeglasses with broken frames. Verify eyeglasses returned from the laboratory as needed.
  • Complete Insurance verifications/authorizations, claims and adjudication process.
  • Coordinate with IT regarding office equipment issues.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as managing prescriptions, customer records, and insurance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience in optometry practice management
  • Licensed Optician a plus
  • Ability to identify, hire, train and retain excellent talent in support of a growing organization
  • Proactive, “roll up your sleeves” leadership style
  • Well organized and self-directed
  • Capable of juggling priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to lead by example, with integrity and honesty

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

Working conditions include those typically seen in a practice environment; On-site, inside of our practices (no remote work available). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
