Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient information
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health information
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Provide medical administrative support as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS)
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Proficient computer skills for maintaining electronic health records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
