Lower Lights Christian Health Center is Hiring a Credentialing Specialist Near Columbus, OH

Operating out of seven locations, we offer medical care (primary care, dental, vision, OB/GYN, telehealth), behavioral health care, 340B pharmacy, nutritional assistance programs, and more. Working hours are Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday morning coverage. 

Job Summary

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of credentialing for all providers in employment at Lower Lights Christian Health Center for both Hospital privileges and insurance credentialing. This position will also include working in the billing department with patient accounts and special projects. As well as ensuring the Physicians and Facilities are in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Credentialing:  Coordinates Credentialing and provider data updates with Credentialing vendors. Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers. Completes provider and site credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
  • Facilities Credentialing:  Maintain and update provider data with all payers and maintain compliance data for medicare and medicaid processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-2 year(s) of relevant credentialing experience required.
  • 1-2 year(s) of medical office experience preferred.
  • 1-2 year(s) experience with medicaid, medicare and other health insurance vendors required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associates Degree preferred.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills, English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft excel and Next Gen preferred.
  • Successful candidate must be extremely reliable, punctual and very well organized. Good follow-up skill, and able to function under pressure; critical thinking skills with great attention to detail.
