Lowell House Addiction Treatment and Recovery is Hiring a House Manager Near Lowell, MA

Job Summary - House Manager

This is a 20 hour a week position, expected to work 8 hours either Saturday or Sunday
and divinding the rest of the hours between 3 4 hour weekdays of your choosing. The House Manager is responsible for the household and operational aspects of the physical site to foster transitional housing supportive case management services for young adults.

Responsibilities

Providing physical oversight of the building; identify and make arrangements for necessary maintenance of building and property.

Ordering/keeping stock of cleaning, bathroom, kitchen, and office supplies.

Maintenance and care of appliances; phone for repair as directed.

Responding to house/property-related emergencies.

Assist with the coordination of property upkeep, landscaping, snow removal, etc. (working in conjunction with the Property Manager and COO).

Keeping building-related city permits up to date.

Responsible for the coordination of weekly curbside trash pick-up from the city; and alternate weeks for city recycling.

Understand the nutritional needs of young adults by coordinating weekly meal planning and generating a food shopping list.

Complete weekly food shopping and forward receipts to the billing office.

Assist with the oversight of transportation needs for residents, obtaining bus passes, van accessibility (if applicable) in conjunction with the Program Manager.

Creating a weekly chore chart.

Chore check of resident's responsibilities.

Communication with the Program Manager about any resident chore issues.

Oversee special cleaning projects such as basement cleaning,

Spring cleaning and resident move-outs. Assist the Program Manager to facilitate weekly staff meetings.

Plans and coordinates recreational activities, outings, and holiday events for /with residents in conjunction with the Program Manager.

Utilization of the Positive Youth Development framework and BSAS Standards of Care.

Assist with the facilitation of resident satisfaction surveys and feedback and related data collection.

Report all spendings to the finance department.

Oversee set up of resident rooms prior to them moving in.

Physical demands

Must be able to sit or stand for an extended period.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Required education and experience

High school diploma or GED

Must obtain a certification in CPR & Narcan Administration

Other Requirements:

This position requires the successful completion of a CORI check.

  • Valid Drivers license in most instances is a requirement of all residential staff unless indicated by hiring manager.
  • Staff may be required to transport residents in their own vehicle or company vehicle. Failure to pass driving record check could result in inability to hire
  • Staff may be mandated to stay for an additional shift if coverage is not found by on call administrator
  • Location of shift may vary in the event of a call out at a different residential program
