Lovelytics is seeking a skilled consultant with experience delivering and selling strategic Databricks and data engineering client engagements.

This Principal Data Engineer Consultant will play the role of a data and AI solution architect, primarily focusing on presales and leading client engagements related to data warehousing, ETL development, data integrations, and data modeling (databricks and the 3 clouds). In addition to the technical capabilities for this role, we are looking for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive environment and has a passion for bringing meaning to data through thought leadership and execution.

Role Location: Open to remote candidates in the US in the following states: MD, DC, CA, IL, IA, IN, MA, NC, TX, TN, GA, CO, NY, NJ, VA, FL, PA, OH, OR

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Fill the role of data engineer solutions architect in the presales process for our largest and most complex client engagements focused ML & AI.
• Partner with our Technical Directors to identify emerging trends in the market, design and implement internal initiatives, etc. 
• Provide thought leadership in the form of blogs, technical ideation for Lovelytics' new offerings, and solutions for client's problems across various verticals.
• Work hand-in-hand with our other capability teams to successfully sell, plan, and deliver engagements
• Gather requirements from clients and develop creative and effective technical solutions
• Partner with our sales team to play an extensive role in the presales and pursuit process, applying knowledge to potential client problems, enabling Lovelytics to expand the business
• Apply your skills with Databricks, using Python, and big data streaming to pioneer client technologies and data
• Assist with the presentation of technical demos, requirements gathering, project scoping, and other sales-related activities.
• Develop and deliver outstanding presentations and demonstrations to individual clients and groups of prospective clients
• Constantly help improve Lovelytics' pre-sales and sales processes and activities to improve the client experience and our internal sales metrics

Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences:

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6 years in data engineering working with cloud-based data analytics architectures and 4 yrs' experience working directly with clients.
• 2 years of involvement in technology pre-sales
• Proven ability to Formulate data science and machine learning strategies to align with business objectives. Familiarity with GenAI is a plus
• Mastery of advanced deep learning techniques and transfer learning as well as NLP frameworks
• Experience with large-scale distributed computing and big data technologies (databricks etc)
• Advanced experience developing Machine Learning models or ML Ops processes
• Excellent communication skills are a MUST, all our employees are client-facing, and this role requires both written and verbal client management skills.
• Experience designing architectures within a public cloud (AWS or Azure)
• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others
• Ability to extract and transform data via Python, deep exposure and understanding of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, etc.
• Overall understanding of analytics from analytic engineering to visualization tools
