• The Med Surg RN will float between Lovelace facilities: Lovelace Medical Center, Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital, Heart Hospital of New Mexico, Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Westside Hospital.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
• May serve in the role of Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
• 2-13 week assignments rotating among Lovelace Health System facilities
• Premium differential

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

• Minimum: Associate degree or Diploma of Nursing
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
• 2 years Medical Surgical nursing experience as RN
• Current BLS; DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and/or PALS
• Must be new to Lovelace Health System (not employed by LHS in previous 12 months)

Preferred Job Requirements: 

• Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
