Ardent Health Services owns and operates Lovelace Health System. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Ardent Health Services includes 30 hospitals and more than 200 sites of care.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Administrative Director directs and administers strategic, operational, fiscal and personnel activities for assigned department(s) in accordance with established regulatory agencies. Prepares and manages budgets, manages/supervises staff and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations. Manages operations and development for assigned area(s) with measurable improvements in clinical outcomes and customer patient satisfaction. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Responsibilities
  • Directs and administers strategic, operational, fiscal and personnel activities for assigned department(s) in accordance with established regulatory agencies.
  • Manages operations and development for assigned area(s) with measurable improvements in clinical outcomes and customer patient satisfaction.
  • Represents the organization and/or department at various community and/or business meetings; promotes existing or new services; serves as liaison and develops and maintains business relationships.
  • Implements staff and program development/maintenance of high performance standards, good communications and positive employee relations and assures departmental staffing levels meet needs of organizational goals.
  • Takes ownership of assignments, special projects, pilot programs; other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
  • Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".
  • Meets Budget (Operating & Capital) for assigned areas.
  • Mentors, coaches, develop subordinates to accomplish goals.
  • Develops policies, processes, strategies and goals that support Department/Corporation direction.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree - Required
  • 3 years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital - Required
  • Must be actively seeking a MBA, MHA or related degree.
  • Five (5) years relevant experience of which three (3) years must have been in a management capacity.

Licensure:

  • Must have a valid and current RN state license.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to influence, motivate, manage, train, direct, counsel and develop staff;
  • Strong communication and positive employee relation skills;
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance.
  • Ability to demonstrate executive disposition with leadership potential.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
