Loureiro Engineering Associates Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Plainville, CT

Loureiro Engineering Associates (Loureiro) has an immediate need for a Human Resources Generalist for our Plainville, CT office. The Human Resource Generalist supports the key aspects of Human Resources, such as benefits, employee relations, compensation, compliance and employee development. This role is also responsible for the confidentiality of employee's records and critical tracking mechanisms and for ensuring that the department's operations run smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Facilitating onboarding processes.
  • Developing and updating job descriptions.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Process promotions and track HR Metrics.
  • Assisting in the administration, execution, and support of training programs, employee development initiatives, and the implementation of HR policies and programs
  • Contributing to internal and external salary benchmarking efforts.
  • Administering and explaining benefits to employees, serving as liaison between third party administrators and employees.
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and trainings for employee benefits programs.
  • Administer, manage, and track FMLA.
  • Maintain knowledge and trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
  • Make recommendations and apply knowledge to communicate changes in policies, practices, and resources.
  • Answer employee questions according to the handbook, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.
  • Participates in additional human resources projects as they are assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related discipline and up to 4 years’ experience in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Identifies inefficient processes/procedures and works with management to resolve them.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Owns and drives projects to closure with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS.
