Job Description:

The Restaurant Floor Captain is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate team members and provide guests with a positive dining experience. The Floor Captain will work closely with the restaurant manager to manage the flow of service, handle guest inquiries and concerns, and address any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the dining room to ensure all guests are receiving timely and attentive service
• Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers
• Assist with seating arrangements and managing reservations
• Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately
• Handle any guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally
• Train new team members on restaurant procedures and service standards
• Maintain a clean and organized dining room, ensuring all health and safety regulations are being followed
• Handle cash transactions and close out checks at the end of each shift
• Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop strategies for improving guest satisfaction and increasing sales

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role in the restaurant industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
