SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Dillsburg, PA. Expectations for this position are to ensure the completion of each job assigned while maintaining the complete satisfaction of the General Contractor. This individual will monitor and supervise the team to assure maximum productivity, while minimizing cost and risk to the company and its employees. This individual will also maintain a professional and good quality image for the company at all times.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Negotiates and purchases materials, services and subcontracts for assigned projects
  • Coordinates with leadership to ensure projects are properly manned to meet schedules/budgets
  • Approves and forwards submittals for drawings and material samples according to schedules
  • Conducts project start-up and ongoing project meetings
  • Works with vendors, estimators and on-site supervisors to facilitate timely and profitable completion of quality projects
  • Sends subcontracts or purchase orders to appropriate subcontractor/vendor, in order to establish the price to be paid
  • Notifies, coordinates and schedules subcontractors and materials
  • Works with the General Contractor, Superintendent and Foreman to review job progress and cost reports; guiding, advising and assisting them to meet job specifications
  • Provides information from the project estimate to supervisors to properly manage a profitable project
  • Monitors daily, weekly and monthly project costs; including review of change orders
  • Visits the project site weekly, or as required, to review problems, progress of schedule, compliance with plans and specifications, and the quality of work being performed
  • Documents all field directives from the owner, architect and/or General Contractor that change the scope or original design of the contract documents
  • Processes and coordinates all changes in the project including lost days, scope revisions, alternate construction methods, etc.
  • Conducts job summary meetings with project team at the end of each project
  • Effectively manages conflict and problem resolution

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior project management experience is preferred; preferably 2 years
  • Experience and knowledge of concrete construction is required
  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
  • Experience with hand tools associated with the trade
  • Must have experience with Microsoft products such as word, excel and outlook
  • Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
