Loomis Armored US, LLC. and Loomis International (CA) is Hiring an Operations Supervisor Near Kansas, KS

Reports to: Operations ManagerSupervises: Armored Service TechniciansOperations Supervisor General FunctionThe Operations Supervisor will be responsible for learning all aspects of Loomis operations, including but not limited to: Vault Operations, Coin Operations, attending Armored Service and ATM Technician Training, assist in training and retention of ASTs. Responsibilities will also include implementing and administering Loomis policies and procedures as well as monitoring and controlling daily operations and assisting with long-term operation of armored car routes and the cash vault. The Operations Supervisor will work alongside management to develop, maintain, and supervise a professional employee-centered culture, a safe and secure operation, a high level of service of delivery, and cost effective, productive operation as directed by Operations Manager.Typical Duties/ResponsibilitiesComplete and maintain scheduling/routing on a daily basis.Oversight and coordination of armored and ATM routes and dispatch. This may require going on route from time to time.Controlling costs of the operationMaintaining effectiveness and efficiency of route, terminal, and vault operations.Safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring and enforcement of policies and procedures.Safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring and enforcement of policies and procedures.Security of cargo and terminal through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policiesand procedures including terminal opening and closing.Investigating accidents and processing required paperwork.Developing and maintaining customer service capabilities among all operations staff.Responding to customer inquiries and or complaints and solving logistical issues.Coordinating with sales, other branches and departments within the company, other carriers, vendors in creating and implementing viable operational solutions to new customers.Controlling overtime hours. Monitoring employee vacation schedules. Maintaining effectiveness and efficiency of operational functions.Communication with all employees to Immediately resolve any outstanding issues and/orcomplaints.Provide leadership that is dedicated to professionalism, continuous improvement, andexceeding challenging goals and objectives.Recruiting, interviewing, testing, selecting, training, and supervising of operations personnel.Emergency response to include response to employee injuries, facility security incidents,vehicle incidents and security investigations.Manipulation and maintenance of route and vault data to include manual paperwork andelectronic data.Rotating Saturday coverage with 2 other supervisors.Assists with training of new operations employees, both classroom and on route.Assists with completion of monthly commitments, and upkeep of the audit binders.Completion of any and all additional responsibilities that are assigned by the operationsManager and/or other Management Team Members on an “as needed” basis.Key RelationshipsOperations Manager: Consult with and accept advice/direction from the Ops Manager on a daily basis.Supervisors: Works closely with all other supervisors to achieve goals and growth of the branch/companySubordinates: Responsible for training, counseling, disciplining, conduct and evaluation of ASTsCustomers: Communicate with customers on a regular basisSales/Administration: Communication with sales and administration on an “as needed” basis regarding updates of service, customers, and payroll issues.Level of AuthorityEnforce Loomis corporate/district/branch policies.Direct operations to meet branch objectives within policy guidelines.Direct route operations including structure and scheduling, establish procedure, enforce policy.Standards of PerformanceControl of losses through implementation of effective risk management, training, supervision, and discipline.Control damages and injuries through implementation of safety programs, training, supervision, and discipline.Compliance with all corporate, district, and branch policiesResponsiveness to events and issues which require attention and involve operating effectiveness, efficiency, safety, and security, or involve policy and procedure.Contribution to branch goals consistent with annual goals.High level of observable safety, security, effectiveness of operating practices and use of equipment.Leadership by example-modeling appropriate behaviors, and observation/monitoring of route activities and crew needs.Development of self and subordinates through on-the-job training, eLearning, and other training.SkillsScheduling and routing experience.Office/Office 365.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate with various types of people.Problem solving skills.CharacteristicsMulti-tasker.Calm under pressureSense of urgencyHistory of following policies and proceduresPositive attitudeRespectfulSelf-motivated/self-starter QualificationsArmored/ATM experience a plus.Supervisory experience a plus
