The Longwood Medical Area Childcare Center (LMACCC) is hiring a Full-Time Teacher: to join our amazing team. We are seeking teachers who are caring, passionate about learning, and looking to make a positive difference in children’s lives. Our teachers work collaboratively with one another and our tenured management staff is here to support you every step of the way.
What makes our childcare center different? LMACCC is proud to provide childcare to healthcare facilities including our local hospitals and institutions, such as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. We excel at combining play with academics and foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive environment.
Full-time and part-time positions available with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers!
Responsibilities:

• Gain a positive, hands-on experience floating between classrooms caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.

• Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Preschool Supervisor as needed.

• Work an 8-hour schedule between the hours of 6:30am-6 pm.

• Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that meets the needs of young children.

• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

• Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff parents, and children.

• Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC.

• Participate in fun staff events such as pajama day in order to foster a positive environment.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

• Infant/Toddler and Preschool EEC certification.

• Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols.

• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.

• Previous professional teaching experience a plus!

• Positive, reliable, and encouraging personality.

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.

• Excellent team player; flexible.

• Ready to learn! Openness to new ideas and/or approaches.

• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.

• Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
