We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Center Float Teacher: to join our team. As a Center Float Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a positive learning environment. Responsibilities:

• Gain a positive, hands-on experience floating between classrooms caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool children!

• Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Preschool Supervisor as needed.

• Work an 8-hour schedule between the hours of 6:30am-6 pm.

• Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that meets the needs of young children.

• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

• Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff parents, and children.

• Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC.

• Participate in fun staff events such as pajama day in order to foster a positive environment.

Requirements:

• Infant/Toddler and Preschool EEC certification.:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

• Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols.

• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.

• Previous professional teaching experience a plus!

• Excellent team player; flexible.

• Ready to learn! Openness to new ideas and/or approaches.

• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.

• Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
