Boston-Area Skilled Nursing Facility seeking a self-motivated individual to join their admissions team. An ideal candidate should have prior experience as an admissions director and be familiar with all major insurance companies and their authorization process.
The ideal candidate will:
Be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
Assess and evaluate potential patients for appropriate skilled admission at the highest reimbursement level possible.
Negotiate carve outs of expensive medications and equipment.
Maintain excellent communication with clinical liaisons and insurance companies.
Managed bed availability across multiple SNFs.
Maintain excellent working relationship with the medical professionals, clinical liaisons, insurance companies and other health related facilities and organizations. Promote Company philosophy, mission and objectives within and outside the hospitals. Attend and participate in facility meetings, calls and in-services. Demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times and project a professional image.
Participate in weekend on call rotation.
License/Certification:
Must have a valid drivers license
Experience:
Two years admissions experience in a skilled healthcare model with an emphasis on insurance verification and prior authorizations. Screening background preferred but not required. Working knowledge of the various electronic referral platforms and EMRs.
