JOB SCOPE
The Assistant Restaurant General Manager (ARGM) reports to the RGM and shares accountability with the RGM and Team Leaders for all restaurant operations, focusing on satisfying customers, developing people, and growing sales and profit. The ARGM is expected to develop the skills to be an RGM within one year. The ARGM trains employees, leads customer service and role models How We Work Together behaviors in the restaurant. The ARGM recognizes, motivates, and coaches members of the restaurant team. The ARGM is expected to work an “11 point” customer-focused schedule of approximately 48 hours per week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Has mastered current position as outlined in the Team Leader Job Description
• Role models VOC/SMG Principles (Voice of the customer) …... With a Strong Emphasis on Exceptional Customer Service ……... actively coaches and supports restaurant team to deliver 100% CHAMPS (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product, Speed)
• Responds to customer concerns using B.A.M. (Believe, Apologize, Make It Right)
• Ensures restaurant meets F.S.A. (Food Safety Audit) standards
• Excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills and a passion for training and developing people.
• Train and Develop Team Members and Shift Managers to help ensure proper staffing in the restaurant • Role models the How We Work Together principles. Takes corrective action as necessary with the approval of the RGM.
• Helps Drives and Beat Year over Year sales growth
• Helps Controls Profit & Loss results by managing food and paper, labor, and semi-variable costs
• Learn to Reviews and analyzes financial reports and assist to execute appropriate actions with RGM
• Knowledge to Forecast sales, create schedules, orders and tracks inventory, completes daily, weekly and period paperwork.
• Opens and closes restaurant and runs shifts
• Ensures cash control, security, safety, food quality, and employment law standards are met
• Implements development plan for growth into RGM bench position, Ready within one year
• Helps Develops Team Members to become Team Leaders and Team Leaders to become ARGMs
• Provides positive and constructive feedback to restaurant team and role models the How We Work Together principles. Participates in corrective action as necessary.
• Recruits, selects, hires, and trains Team Leaders and Team Members
• Maintains equipment, facility, and grounds and ensures a clean restaurant
• Supports all company programs and marketing plans and rolls out programs with RGM
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
• Required food handling certifications
• One to two years restaurant supervisory experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong personal leadership skills
• A passion for Training and Developing people
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Worked minimum of six months as Team Leader
• Completed training program for existing position and mastered skills
• Passed ARGM Readiness Checklist
• Completed and certified in all ARGM training programs. On Target or Above Target performance
• Passed management background check
• Requirements are for a candidate to be placed on the bench. The best candidate on the bench will be promoted to an open position
